Carl Weber is a New York Times and Essence bestselling author of more than a dozen novels and short stories. Weber is president and CEO of Urban Books LLC, the largest African American–owned publishing company in the country, and he is a past recipient of the Blackboard Publisher of the Year award. Urban Books has published more than 2000 novels to date and has more than 20 New York Times bestselling titles to its credit. Weber is also owner of the Urban Knowledge chain of bookstores and has received the Blackboard Bookseller of the Year award. Moving from novels to films, he has also written and produced The Preacher’s Son and The Choir Director, based on two of his New York Times bestsellers, as well as his first original screenplay, No More Mr. Nice Guy. Weber is a graduate of Virginia State University and holds an MBA in marketing from University of Virginia.
